Hey hows it going, ok I know i asked about how to advertise before, months ago well now I am all moved into the new house, have been for a month now and the neighborhood is VERYYYYYYYYY quiet, mainly older people probably in their 70's, seen a few kids is all.So since we are going all out decorating the yard like crazy I have a lot!!!! of props this year, and would like more people to see them,so do you think would it be a good idea to advertise on craigslist that we are having a haunt and giving out candy on halloween night ? or would you not post on there.Just wanted to get other peoples thoughts on it.See where I lived before was the city and we got a lot of trick or treaters now living in the desert in a quiet area, just doesnt seem like we will have many if any, so again since im doing the yard up I would like people to at least see it. Ok thanks for your advice in advance

I think it depends on where you live in Socal

I know there has been a lot of recent crime associated with the Los Angeles Craigslist

Sometimes it is better to have fewer visitors but be safe!!!!!

You can always have a ton of virtual visitors.... post video of your haunt here or on you tube

    Hey Tim,
I have advertised in the past but attracted the wrong crowd and had regular TOTs get angry because of some unruley teens... I myself never would place an ad again but in Yucca valley it may be a better neighborhood, Its may be worth a shot. I would however voice my opinion with a "Must Be Respectful to ALL TOTs and My Property!"

This should give those evil doers a warning and check in advance! Best of luck to ya buddy!
A Halloween prop is a terrible thing to waste..

thanks guys for the advice, I think I will not do it then, I will just see how it goes and if I dont get a lot this year then next year I will advertise with flyers and stuff like that, plus by then I should know more people here. Thats what worried me, I didnt want to place an ad and then have a bunch of rowdy people come by and maybe even steal some of my props, so I will forget about that then. And yeah for sure I will take some videos of it for sure ! I already have a youtube showing props and stuff my name is 2kooltimboslice. Ok guys thanks again !!!

During the early hours of the night, you can tell the ToTers to call their relatives and friends that live in the area so they can tell them to come by your house. Tell them something like "I have tons of candy and need more ToTers, so call your friends and family so they can stop by!"
