It's crazy how Halloween is only a few days away now...I really am enjoying the fact that Halloween falls on a Sunday this year as opposed to a weekday...so many parties to choose from this year, so many haunted attractions to pick from...
What is everyone else doing today?
I think I am going to start off my Friday afternoon by flipping through channels to see what horror movies are on tonight...than head out with some friends tonight to a haunted attraction...than tomorrow a Halloween party...onto Sunday...start off the day by getting my yard haunt up and ready...wait for TOT's than head off to another party....
As I think back to my youth...I swear I can recall a few Halloweens falling on a Saturday or Sunday...the nostalgic thoughts of going to stores early in the day to get candy to waiting it out to go trick or treating...
Is everyone ready for Halloween day on a side note? I am noticing commercials (local haunted attractions), broadcast news focusing on Halloween, gotta love it...
Have yet to see the Thriller video air today...

We have an adult Halloween party tonight. Ususally draws close to 60 people; lots of great food/drinks/costumes/fun.
Tomorrow will be spent putting up haunt walls, the facade acrss the driveway, decorating these scenes and after dark, testing the lights. Plan to watch horror movies late tonight and tomorrow. Sunday will be a set-up of the front yard which takes close to three hours. The helpers come over at 4:00 and we get pizza and wings for everyone. 5 pm is a walk through with the actors, then costume up and let the show begin. We have a few friends over Halloween night afdter TOT hours and then it's a tear down of the front yard, watch some horror movies on the tube and hit the hay. I don't even want to think about Monday and the three subsequent days of packing it all away until next year! UGGHHH! But the next two days are going to be a blast!

Tonight my wife and I are attending "An Evening with Edgar Allen Poe" three short plays of stories, followed by food and drinks.
Tomorrow, I'm carving pumpkins, finishing my daughter's costume and watching a double feature.
Halloween, no parties for us this year, but handing out candy, monster movie marathons, wine, food, homemade pumpkin pie and choclate cupcakes, more wine and food...
Dia de Muerte, family time.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Just spent my lunch hour going to Target and Kmart.
Target was BLAH!! They barely have their costumes 15% off and none of the decor is on sale! I did, however, pick up a pack of 40 Halloween fruit roll ups for $3.99 to hand out to the TOTers.
Kmart (I don't go here very often but I should!) - they had ALL of the remaining Halloween costumes, decor, etc. front and center as soon as you walk in. Everything was 40% off. There was a lot of costumes but not much in the decorations dept.
Tonight - not doing anything.
Tomorrow (Saturday) - my son's 3rd birthday party.
Sunday - prepare the outside for the TOTers. Gotta make a pot of chili and appetizers. Get the family's costumes in order. Then it's here - the night we've all been waiting for!!Is it Halloween yet?

Great to see everyone has a variety of activities lined up...I personally cannot wait, with three days to enjoy Halloween this year it seems like a treat, no pun intended lol...
It seems as adults we get to enjoy the days leading up to Halloween that much more, being Friday and Saturday...lots to do...

Tonight will be seeing a play of the rocky horror picture show.
Tomorrow will be spent setting up last minute weatherproof decoration as well as fixing things damaged by the wind.
Sunday setting up the haunt electronics and scaring trick or treaters.

We're in panic mode here. But in a good way!
Our haunt is running Saturday night, so we have a little over 24 hours to get things finished. Some touch up paint, hanging blood bags, finishing up the baby launcher, and making a chainsaw arc. That's all that's left on the list. My dad got into town around noon and is a contractor, so between him and hubby, things should be flying now.
Going to head back out there after dark and make sure all the black lights are working great and everything that should be glowing IS and nothing else!
