Ok i know that this sounds a lot like the Nightmare Before Christmas but the DW and I were talking about next years Halloween and I brought up the fact that she does not want to have too much to do with MY Halloween decorating and I don't really care to decorate for HER Christmas. So I had a thought has anyone ever thought of integrating both holidays like a horror Christmas display for Halloween. Nothing like Nightmare Before Christmas Style even thought it would have a coffin style sleigh. And something like candy canes impaled into skulls. I have tons of other ideas that I could do (actually almost as much to fill a book lol). Please share your thoughts and Ideas with me to see if this would actually be a neat thing to do or would it just send out the wrong message. thanks

Well, something similar has been done, but in toy form with action figures. A few years ago, McFarlane Toys produced a 'Twisted Christmas' line.

I particularly like their interpretation of the Snowman.

Well, that all depends on who you are trying to send a message to. If both you and your wife like the idea, then so be it - don't worry about what anyone else thinks!

I love the idea, Kill two birds with one stone. I usually decorate for both. Not as much effort goes into C-Mas. Some lights and a wreath.

I love it! I have spiders all over my tree....I don't do an entire Halloween theme...but for me....everything needs spiders.

During our Fall trip to Vermont each year, I visit a Christmas ornament shop that has an entire section dedicated to Halloween ornaments, and a very lovely tree decked out rather nicely.

I swear I'm going to do one ...some year....

well see i dont know if it will be for both holidays at first and originally it started out as a joke to see what the dw would think but she seemed kindof keen on the idea so working from there just wanted to know if this was an origional halloween yard haunt idea or if anyone has done it before! and thanks for the link saruman i like the idea of the snowman and the reindeer just looking for something a little more sinister for santa though maybe something like an ax killer santa. which brings to mind an idea for the name of the haunt Merry AXmas.... well we shall see!!!! And i plan on doing a black tree with either red or orange lighting with bodyparts as ornaments. I have an extra tree that i can paint black just gotta get all my lights for the after christmas sales.... please give me somemore ideas just so we can possibly get started on buying the stuff for next year during the christmas sales this year!!
