Do you bag your cand for the TOTs or do you pour the store bags into a bowl?

If you bag your candy, how many pieces do you put in? If you let the pick, how many?

I bag the candy. One piece of the 'premium' stuff and either one or two pieces of the Tootsie Childs Play, dpending on the size (two midgees or one of anything else)

I'm eating--- err, bagging the candy as I type this.

I've bagged for yeeeaarrrsss. The only time I remember giving out loose candy was when we ran out of bags. We had to break into our own stash of candy twice that I can recall, otherwise it's bags all the way.

My bags are bigger now, lunch bag size. But in years past they've been those small ones.

I give a mix of small toys & candy. The candy usually involves gum of some sort, gummy candies of different kinds, Pixie Stix & whatever else catches my eye. Toys are bracelets, Silly Bandz this year, sometimes spiders, once again, whatever catches my eye.

But my favourite are the little duckies from Oriental Trading. Just started doing those last year.

I am doing bags this year as well as silly bands, pick candy or silly bands.

I am a vendor at fairs and festivals in the spring and summer and have TONS of silly bands left, I wish that fad would have lasted longer than it did...

I let um pick well not really a choice everyone gets 1 reeses peanut butter cup or if allergic to peanuts I have plain hershey bars or an apple their choice then.

I am doing bags this year for the first time. Mainly, I want to get a count of how many kids. We moved in to a new neighborhood last year, and I was at a loss of what to buy.

I put 2 fun sized candies (Kit Kat, Twix, Snickers, Peanut M&Ms or Reese's PBCs), a twizzler, Dum Dum and a small toy (spider, bat, etc).

I think there should be another polling option - they get what I give them! LOL

Depends mainly on their age.

I hated being told "you can pick one" and its all one kind of candy, lol.

I'm with mommyto3....I just grab a handful of goodies and drop it in......I only buy candy I would want to eat, so no matter what part of the bowl I grab from, they get the good stuff...man I hated getting crap candy when I was a kid...lol.......

I think I'm the only person on earth who hates tootsie rolls, every frickin' year I swear I'd have 2,000 tootsie tolls in my pillowcase....

We give out the choice of chips or fruit snacks, then a tinket of some kind. This year we had pencils(yeah I know), bubbles, bouncy ball eye balls and spider rings.

We always have parents and kids that are glad it's something other than just regular candy.

I saw scarrots this year. I would've so treated the person that gave me scarrots as a kid to a nice surprise! LOL

LonnieC - I hate tootsie rolls too! Bleh!!

terri73 - I saw the scarrots bag this year and I thought "oh, no, whoever buys that is gonna get theirs!!" LOL!!
