Ok I decided to post this because I keep hearing how I guess Counsel or some kind of "Members" keep trying to move Halloween in certain cities/towns. I started thinking how can someone or many do this? I can not see Halloween being moved in our city due to a Football game or that it lands on Sunday especially with such a high amount of people living in my city.
You don't have to say what city you live in if you don't want to but it would be interesting to see the numbers.
So how many people live in your town?
I live in Norwalk, CA As of the census of 2000, there were 103,298 people and as of 2009 107,698 people live in Norwalk, CA. I think it takes a few for the counts to come in and they just did the Census again this year so will have to see how many live here in 2010. Can you see certain members counsels trying to change Halloween in my City? I think NOT.

They didn't do it in my town, which is Charlotte but they changed it to Saturday in some surrounding counties.I live in the Bible belt and there are a lot of thumpers here that try to ruin it for the rest of us.

ToT was changed here to tomorrow night Thursday the 28th! I'm in Columbus, Ohio metro area almost 2 million. I am actually in Reynoldsburg, which is a suburb, but Columbus and most of the burbs have gone too the 28th. Pretty dumb if you ask me, whats wrong with Sunday night? If it were Sunday, I wouldn't have to take off work to get everything ready...

I just found out that "they" moved it to Saturday here in Savannah, GA and surrounding counties. All three counties in the area thought it would be a good idea to move it to Saturday. I don't get it.
Somehow, in their glorious wisdom, the political leaders in this town think it's ok to move a holiday.
I could go off, but I'm trying to show some restraint.

I post fliers on stop signs around the area and they say clearly October 31 so no one get confused. I also live in the Bible belt and work in a Insurance office I have been handing out fliers to my customers and alot of people don't know when to celebrate Halloween this year. When I tell them I will be doing it on Sunday I haven't had any negative feedback. I do know the mall is having a event on Friday night with a costume contest and a couple other places are doing something on Saturday. I think that is great because I won't have any competition on my night.
I do have a solution to all this madness the next time it lands on a Sunday thats when we would have a leap year who do we contact to get this implemented. LOL
