I decorated our bathroom with "blood" dripping down the walls and around 50-60 mice and rats. Currently have a red lightbulb in there but think that a bright white fluorescent light will accentuate them better. I don't have fluorescent lighting in there, but is there any type of bulb that can replicate that kind of light to give the walls a really white look? Sort of like a small lab?

If you have regular bulb sockets you can always get a compact fluorescent bulb. You can even get them in blacklight which should make things look creepy. Otherwise check out the display next to the bulbs at Home Depot where they show the difference between "regular" and "daylight" bulbs. I think they have 3 or 4 different kinds, some look "colder/whiter' than others.
If you have halogens I don't think there's anything you can do.

In europe we have LED light bulbs instead of regular light bulbs. They fit into the same socket but give off a different type of light...kind of a bluish cold light. Not sure how far your state is with led bulbs but might be worth checking into.

LED bulbs here run about $70! Yikes!
I was looking at them at HomeDepot the other day. That's outrageous!
Incandescent all the way! Stock up, they stop selling them next year.

They do make CFL blacklight bulbs though, and you can pick them up real cheap at BigLots! if you have one near you.

Oooh, I have a blacklight bulb at home - I'll check it out tonight to see if it does the trick.
