Here are a few pics from our campout. I can't believe it has came and went already! At least I got to enjoy for a couple of extra days this year as we were there from Wed-Sun this year.
I am biased but I think we should've got first place but we only got 2nd. Kinda made me sad. It's one of those always a bridesmaid and never the bride situations. I am grateful to have won at all, but I really wanted first this year and believe we should have got it.

Here is first place. I honestly think ours looked better. The reason they won is the dragon in the second pic. They used propane to make him breathe fire. The thing about it was I don't know why the Addams Family would have a fire breathing dragon. That was the Munster's. I guess I am just bitter and nit picking.
I give props for the dragon. He was a nice build for sure.

I really hope I didn't come across as arrogant or hateful in my posts. I never meant it that way. I was just proud of our set up and was really disappointed this year that we didn't take first.

terri73 I too think you should of won 1st place your haunt does look better then the other one who won 1st! You dont sound arrogant to me at all you obviously put alot of hard work in your haunted campout and it shows... the dragon that the other guys made looks kinda lame in my opinion! Your campout looks great you have some great lighting as well dont be sad you should be proud of your hard work regaurdless!

They aint got nothing on you.
Plus you have awesome lighting so I choose yours for first.
How does one even get into camp ground haunting? Do they have a national website? We have so many campgrounds around here it would be alot of fun to do.halloween is a super cool holiday.

We just happened to find out about it through our local state park. Here I guess it is a common thing at many of the state parks. It is really fun. It was nice having a couple hundred people stop and say they liked it and appreciated the fact that we put the work in year after year, it's actually only been 4 years though. I don't know it they have a national group, I honestly have never looked.
We won 2nd last year and won 2 free camping nights so we saved them for this Halloween so we could stay longer. Another 2nd got us 2 more free nights that I am sure we will use them next year at Halloween.
EVERYONE~Thank you for the positives. I appreciate it much!

Try the Jellystone campgrounds (yogi bear), they always have a big halloween thing for the month of October. I know the one in Cave City, ky is huge. We had been a couple of times before with some friends but this year we went & fixed up are campground. Had a blast with everything. I will post pics later.
