Thread: Anyone waiting for last minute Halloween deliveries?

I'm crossing my fingers that the 3 orders I placed earlier last week and today for a few clearance items get here by Friday in time for Halloween. Oriental Trading's shipment is due on Thursday, and QVC's and Costume Express' are due Friday. The only one I really need now is a mask from Costume Express for a prop I decided on at the last minute to add to my swamp voodoo scene. I just managed to get the order placed in under the wire for free delivery on Friday so really cutting it close. If it comes on time I figure I can finish the witch doctor's head by Sunday night.

Anyone else out there waiting for last minute items? What type of items do you have on order? Is it for this year or next?

I ordered some of those LED lights everyone loves so much, but - I think since I'm in Canada - the tracking number appears to be useless. Fingers are crossed though. Hoping the batteries will survive the year for next, otherwise I'll figure something out.

Waiting for a 6V 3A adapter for Demonica prop, ordered it from Tekky Toys last Thursday, hopefully it comes in before Sat!!!!

I had a scene idea and went looking all over for giant scissors. Couldn't find them anywhere. I'd seen them in the dollar store before but they are not to be found this year. Looked around everywhere to no avail. Had to order them Saturday night, along with some giant pencils. Paid way too much with shipping, but they should arrive Thursday.

I ordered the lightening box that makes the lights respond to the thunder track last week. It'd be nice if it gets here, but it won't kill me if it doesn't. I'll fire it up next year.

a few weeks ago I ordered from shindigz and the biggest purchase on my order got canceled because of one item I wasnt even gonna use ( a butcher strand cutout) , it was out of stock and it came in my package called a "garage haunt kit".

I didnt know it was canceled because all my emails thus far were going to my junk folder. So after checking for my order on one friday and not finding any details I did a search and found the mails in the junk folder, and they were a week old already telling me the order got canceled, arg.

I was counting on the black plastic sheeting and grass tissue mats so I called and got them to honor the price but we had to add all the items that were available (everything except the stupid butcher strand) but to do this I had to make the order separately because I needed to pay with paypal (the hangup).

The CSR was really nice and helped me out alot but I didnt get all the items I was supposed to get initially doing it this way. I had a $200 limit on my paypal and the order was almost $300 so I had to remove some items to get under my limit.

I didnt get the tombstones or the arm groundbreakers, no big deal, Im happy to just get the black sheeting and tissue mats mostly.

So I finally get all the boxes delivered yesterday and after opening everything, Im missing the tissue mats, Fuuuuuuuuuuu&***((.

There was one blue and one black tissue mat, Im supposed to get a dozen of each color, so I get on the horn again and the CSR was nice again and assured me the mats would be here by Friday. At least it wasnt the black sheeting, I can work around not having the mats straight away but man is it cutting it close, lol.

Alot of drama around this order, but am waiting on my tissue mats. Whew!

I'm fighting ordering MORE of these. They rock so much I ordered them as a "meh i will use them somewhere, gotta see what all the hype is about" and now I found TONS of places i NEED them!!

But i wont get them in time for my party on Sat ... aww well . I'll have plenty for next year

Ordered a male torso from Ebay that was supposed to be here by the 20th. Still isn't here and I'm pretty ticked off. Emailed seller but haven't heard back.

Well to my surprise, my ORIENTAL TRADING order due to arrive on Thursday arrived yesterday. This was with free shipping and an additional $5 off (thanks to BlueFrogs coupon info under the Coupons/Discount area). Actually this was the bulk of the order, I have a poseable hard plastic skeleton still due to arrive which was boxed separately.

Pleased to say that this morning I received an email from COSTUME EXPRESS (parent company Celebrate Express) that my order did make it under the free shipping and is ready to ship today and is guaranteed to arrive by Friday.

So far, happy with how the online ordering has gone.
