Spirit Halloween Animated props to be 50% Off starting 10/26!

We just found out that starting on 10/26/2010, local Spirit Halloween stores will have the new Pinhead, Michael Myers and Freddy Krueger animated props at 50% off! I believe that this promotion is in the local stores and not yet online.

Sounds unusual to drop those before the 1st, since there's usually a beeline to them on the 50% sales

I did not get any additional info. Just these items. I think that they are trying different types of promotions to get our attention. This one got mine!

I've seen them in person. I wouldn't buy until they were 75% off & even then I'm not so sure I want them.

Pinhead really does have a pinhead & little girly hands. Freddy & Michael didn't impress much for me either. At least Freddy & Pinhead have moving mouths, Michael just sorta moves around a little & half-heartedly tries to stab you with his little girly hands. But then he never really talked in the movies did he? The proportions on these things are just outta whack for some reason.

Anyhoo...I've seen better homemade things here that were worth at least Spirit is charging for these things if not more.

MSRP of $280...so $140? Yeah, they're not awesome props, but probably worth $140...anyone ever open one of these up and hack the voice and body movements? That right there would be worth $140 just for the raw materials.

There seems to be controversy on the Spirit FB page. Some people are saying their stores are telling them nothing will be 50% off until November 1st. Has anyone here contacted their store to see if they are saying the same thing?

We saw the props up and personal at our Spirit and I wasn't impressed enough even with the 50% off. Nothing person to the company but, from what I hear about the quality and especially about the customer service if something goes wrong with them. If I was a collector of the full size characters or if I just wanted to flip it next year then I might do it.

IMO even at 50% off they are not woth it.50% off is all relative anyway.the MSRP is a joke,so 50% off MSRP or 50% off the normal price /sale price???????
