Thread: Party on 10/30 and I just started to decorate yesterday - exhausted

So I used to decorate at least three weeks ahead of time but this time I waited until a week before our party. I am soooooo tired and still have a pretty long way to go. I feel as though I'm only 50% there and I have to start baking sometime this week. Where are all of you getting your energy? I have next Friday off but am starting to feel stressed out. Is anyone else out there getting tired? I do all the work on my own with no help.

Mine is also next Saturday with Friday off of work, not feeling stressed yet but come Wednesday I'll be in a tizzy :-/ I'm more of a work when the pressure is on kinda gal. My fiance says he's here to help but it takes longer to explain than to just do it myself. I'm grateful to have help, but he's mostly here for the heavy lifting. I asked him to be in charge of the music for the night (he's in IT and computer/tech savvy,..) He said "get me a list and I'll download all of it" I wanted HIM to find/research... HELP! So, yeah... Come Wednesday I'll be a wreck.

Mine was last saturday.Yesterday I was sooooo tired we had 117 plus some I didn't know.This was the biggest one yet.I didn't get to dance or anything as I was making sure there was enough food and drinks.it was toooo much next year I really have to edit my invite list.
I hope you have a blast enjoy it.....i have to wait till next year to do that.

The fast approaching deadline keeps me going, although last Friday night I was shot. This year I have a different mentality since I have to work late Friday night and have a 20 mo old son. I'm doing the must-have stuff first and everything else is bonus. If things aren't "perfect" and the food isn't fancy too bad. I'm doing my best! (sure, I say that now lol) Isn't it suprising how much time all that last minute little stuff takes??

halloween71: wow! that is ALOT of people. Our biggest yet was around 80. And like you I didn't get to relax and enjoy munch since I was so busy keeping up with everything. We've taken 2 years off now, so I'm hoping it's much smaller this year. We shall see.
