Hey everyone. I know trunk or treats are highly looked down upon around these parts, but my school's doing it and is probably the closest thing Halloween related they're doing, so I decided to do it.
However, I need a little help in the brainstorming process, as I want to be creepy, yet not too scary, since I'm dealing with kids at a nearby elementary school and not other teens. Nothing gory or nightmare inducing, but again, I'd like to be creepy/spooky with maybe a startle scare added in. Also they said there's going to be a prize for the best display, and I know with your help, I'll be a shoe in.
I have a week, but I want to start early so I won't just throw something together. One idea I do have is a creepy child theme, as I have some dolls/toys waiting to be modified (Care Bears, puppets, etc.).
However, I'm open to other ideas. Shoot.

Make a monster trunk! The trunk could be a mouth. You can add foamboard teeth all around it and a carpeted roll out tongue. put a cd player with speaker in the car that has belching and chewing and swallowing sound effects.

I like the monster trunk idea!
One detail that's missing, though, and that may be important...what type of vehicle? Truck, hatchback, SmartCar? Or...by any chance...can you borrow a hearse?a plague on both your houses

I was going to use a '98 Pontiac Bonneville, though I could use my dad's '92 GMC truck, but the Pontiac gives way for some better ideas.
The Monster Truck idea sounds good, but I was thinking of something a little more out of the box, as I can already see some people doing one of those.
