I was just on the other thread now, and it seems like most of you fence off your yard cemeteries as you have expensive looking props in there.

Do any of you let people (visitors, ToTers, etc.) walk through your cemetery? Or do most of you fence it off? Have you had instances where it was fenced off, but people tried or did go in?

I don't let anyone go through mine cause of the electrical cords. I also lay those blacklight string lights on the ground for effect and don't want anyone stepping on them. I only have trouble with the kid across the street who I promptly kick out.

Closest thing I've ever had to a cemetery, people stomped through, and stuff got broken.

As like LadyRohan, I rope mine off too, due to electrical cords and lights.... I also have a couple of fairly large props in my yard that I wouldn't want the ToT's climbing on......

Ya I am fenced off and I deny people except close family to walk in the cemetery. I have tons of electrical cords and trip hazzards out there.

Ours is fenced. It not only looks nice and lends to the atmosphere but serves as a barrier to keep people out. In my "pre-fence" days, some folks would wander through and invariably some little kid or clumsy adult would trip on a cord, kick a tombstone, or mess with something they shouldn't. I still have some people ask if they can go in but they are politely told no, that the fence is there to protect them as well as my stuff.

My sister-in-laws kids have to be into everything and always mess with my props . I tell them of their Mother just stands there doing nothing. Last year they managed to stomp through my Graveyard and knock over my tombstones. This year I'm not going to be so pleasant with them.

I never let anyone in- too many cords and stuff. One year someone had the nerve to step over the fence and go in to take a short cut. Moron. You let them in and sure enough they'll demolish it. Not a good idea. It's a display, not a playground.

GAHHHHH I hate when parents leave it up to everyone else to watch their kids. I never did that when my daughter was little.

Definitely fence mine in. I do think it would be cool to setup a 'path' through the cemetery -- basically have fences on both sides to allow the tots to get a closer look. However, it requires more $$$ to make fences and then you have to worry about how things look from both the front AND back.
