I have a lamppost in my front yard and the bulbs that are in it are too bright. Does anyone know where I can find the flicker bulbs. I can't seem to find them anywhere. Anyone have any suggestions for maybe another type of bulb I can put in there so it's not so bright?![]()

The best way I have had success is to google the bones of the flicker lights I am looking for. It's weird but I've done well with Buy.com in the flicker light Dept. Hope it helps.

That is what I did for this year too. The new motion sensor front door light doesn't like the flicker bulb though.
I got mine at Menards, Lowes, Home Depot, Walmart, most any store that carries a good selection of light bulbs should have them. Ask someone if you can't find them, I would have been looking for days at Menards...
I wish I could get some 40 watt flicker bulbs!

If you just want dimmer- without the flicker, simply place pieces of colored lighting gel over the panes. If the panes to not get excessively hot, you can use colored cellophane on the OUTSIDE of the glass. (Professional lighting gels can probably go on the inside if the don't touch the bulb.)

It does huh? I'm so happy now. Too bad the rain through off one of the outlets outside and now my lights won't work. Gotta reset the breaker or something....always something....
