We're in year three in a new location. First year we had 200. Last year we got 200 again, but my daughter-in-law figured we had another 200 smaller kids out on the street who were too scared to come down the driveway. So we're going easier on the Haunt, less screaming, to make it more kid-friendly. We're hoping for 300, but showers are forecast.
What sort of numbers do you guys expect?

We've had 400+ the last couple of years but I am thinking that it being on Sunday may cut it down a bit with churches having activities and such. I'm preparing for 400 again just in case though.

I hope for 80. 100 would be nice, but 65 to 75 is all I can muster it seems. The thing is though, the kids come in groups and tend to be spread out throughout the day. So it's never a parade of kids. The pace picks up for maybe a little bit around dark, but mostly it's groups so it doesn't feel like a lot. I keep track by counting candy bags.

I'm figuring on 150 - 200. Although I have enough candy for twice that.
The sad thing is, when I see these threads I start thinking about how much I spend on my haunt per ToTer.

After three years of numbers between 500 and 600, we dropped off last year to around 300. I was really surprised as we expected a lot more since it was on a Saturday, but actually this may have been the reason. Being on a Sunday this year and having nothing to compete with TOT time, I'm hoping to rebound to about 400. We shall see!

Well seeing that we ran out of candy last year and had to make a store run for more in full costume we got a couple of large (and I mean large)bags of candy this weekend. We have about 300 pieces all together. I am hoping for a good turn out again this year.

We have been decorating for the last couple of weeks and live on a busy street so we are expecting 200-300 but we are buying enough candy for up to 1,000.

Wow. I think the most we've ever gotten is 25-30, and the last few years it's been under 10. There's been a couple years when it's been none, or only the kids across the street. I don't remember clearly but I would have sworn it was busier in my area when I still went ToTing in the 80s and early 90s. I'm not sure how much "safety" has to do with it, I know the malls these days are completely packed on Halloween night because the parents won't let their kids go out in the neighborhoods anymore. I think I did the mall thing ONCE when I was a kid (due to rain or something) it was so darn crowded that we never did it again.
