Does anyone here drive around and look at Halloween decorations in people's yards? My boyfriend and I went for a drive this weekend around the county looking at Halloween decorations. He works for the county and has to drive all over the county for work. Meanwhile he's been keeping an eye out for all the cool haunts to show me It made for a nice fall weekend taking a long drive with our puppy. Plus we got to stop at a few cemetaries so I could take pictures for ideas and to print in black and white for halloween decorations. I felt a bit odd driving slow past people's houses at first (felt like a creeper) and then of course the first house I actually stopped in front of, the lady comes out and is like "Can I help you?". I think I turned a couple shades of pink and then told her I was just admiring her decorations. She smiled and said thanks then went back inside. Makes me wonder, do people think I'm like ploting to rob their house? Oh well, I just like seeing the creativity of others and know there's others out there like me that are psyched about the holiday. Happy Halloween all! It's coming soon!

oh yeah! I love to see what other people are doing in their yards, getting ideas & stuff. I don't think its any worse than people who drive around looking at Christmas lights! 2 weekends ago, I was driving thru a (thankfully) small town & actually stopped in the middle of the road to look at someone's display.

Our decorating goes on at the campground. We knew people would be moving in over the weekend for the first come first serve spots. So I have rode out through the camp ground 2x this weekend looking to see what decorations people had up. As of now not much.

Yep...if I have time. The bad thing about us haunters is that we're so busy and don't really get everything out until the last couple days...and then you have to finish your haunt and don't have time to see others. I know a couple of folks that are already done and I'll head over to check out their stuff later this week.

The Rocky Mountain Haunters maintain a map showing who has a haunt and who's is ready for drivebys

I would if there were any to look at. I'm hoping this weekend will bring out the last minute haunters because as of now there are a few houses with a small inflatable or two, a few with cheese cloth ghosts in the trees and then there's me.
Meanwhile, I am getting tons of drivebys so other people are definitely out looking. I love it!

I find that my area is a bit under Halloweened. I know that it is an economically depressed area but what the hey am I the only one that holds this day in such reverence around here? Of course I look for other displays. That is just part of the affliction. I need my Halloween fix. I need to see it as often and as much as possible. As for yard haunts I believe that I am the only one in my entire county. I am still looking for any signs of competition! Please somebody hear this. I want to see some competition! I would like to pass my crown on to someone before I pass to the other side for real! Mine is not that great, but there is none better. Have car, will travel!
