Normally out displays don't go out until the week of Halloween but since I found out my son was coming home for spring break I decided to start putting it out last night.
Got up this morning and we were hit by some a-holes who stole one of my skeletons, a tombstone and one of my skulls off my "wall".
We're going to bring everything in and I'm thinking about putting a sign up says "sorry folks..we were robbed. Display will not be out until Halloween night"![]()

Wow. Can you tell how mad I am by all the typos. My son is coming home for fall break, not spring break.

I'm sorry to hear about your theft
Please don't let it ruin your halloween spirit. Even if you take down your outside decos. which is totally understandable, decorate inside and enjoy your holiday with your son. Sorry

Report the theft to the local police. At the very least, they'll be aware that there are kids/teens out doing things that they shouldn't and maybe patrol your area better.
Did you have your stuff marked with some sort of permanent identifier? If you plan on putting out stuff like skeletons, I'd do a wood burner with your initials or something in an inconspicuous place so you could identify it if you see it in someone else's yard. If you have a police report, then you can bust them if you do locate your stuff.
I'd also put the sign up that you were robbed and WHAT was taken. Get the neighbors involved in looking for the props in case it was someone in your neighborhood that is foolish enough to put the props out in THEIR yard.
Really sorry this happened to you.

There are other holidays besides Halloween? When did they start that?

That sucks. As said B4 ,take pics of everything, mark it clearly and report to cops.Maybe a quick REWARD sign out front will help find the twerps.
