I don't know if anyone here was ever a fan of the TV show Mystery Science Theater 3000, it was on Sci-Fi and Comedy Central in the 90's. The premise was that there was a guy trapped on a space satellite and evil scientists back on earth were trying to find the worst movie ever made to break his sanity and then unleash it on the world. To keep himself sane, he used parts of his ship to make robot friends. He and his robots would comment over the horrible movies to keep from going insane from the awfulness and it was HILARIOUS.
Several of the original writers and actors from the show now have another endeavor called Rifftrax where they "riff" on movies and you can download them from their webiste. Also hilarious. Now instead of old science fiction and horror movies though, they do current day stuff, too, like Twilight and Lord of the Rings.
A few times a year they do live events which are hosted by Fathom Events, and you can go to your local movie theater and see a live broadcast of them riffing a movie.
Here's the best part: On October 28th, they are doing a live event of The House on Haunted Hill. I've already bought my tickets! Here's a link to the Fathom site, to find the nearest theater to you and buy tickets if you like. I'll also put a link to the Rifftrax site, you can watch samples of their stuff and trust me, you will love it!

I about wet my pants when I saw this advertised before a movie I took my kids to last week. I'm so going.
Guns kill people... just like spoons made Rosie O'Donnell fat.

I cannot be enthusiastic enough about this, these events are so much fun and so hilarious. To have one for Halloween just about made my entire season. I really hope you guys can find one close to you and attend!
