I can't find that thread where everybody was talking about the injuries they've sustained in the name of Halloween, or I would have added this to that!

So, my husband was programming the lights for our haunt, they are pretty big LED lights, and they each weigh probably 3 or 4 lbs.

He had 4 of them lined up along the top of the upright piano, and so they wouldn't scratch the piano, he had put an over sized piece of styrofoam under them that was much wider than the top of the piano. I told him when he did it that the cat was going to walk on that unsupported part of styrofoam and the lights would go flying, but he scoffed at me and told me the lights were too heavy for that to happen.

So last night, I fell asleep on the couch. I was slightly awakened by the sound of the cat chasing a bug, and then next thing I know, she jumps full force on that unsupported bit of styrofoam, and since he's programmed all but one of the lights, there is the only one light left on the piano so it was no longer "too heavy" and it came flying and hit me in the head while I was sleeping. :P

I'm pretty sure I have a slight concussion now. :P

Sheesh! You make one little suggestion about spray painting the cat black for the holiday and see what she does??

Mybe your husband likes to see the cat " Trip the Light Fantastic " Hope you're not hurt to bad.

Aah precious cats, I have 4 of them. Ones driving me nuts right know standing on my chest with her butt practically in my face as I'm trying to type. Hope your heads ok

What a rude awakening! Always trust that little voice lol! If it can happen, it will. Hope you heal quickly (and forgive hubby lol).

Sounds to me like they were "helping" by creating a fresh corpse for your display. Too bad the victim was you!

Yes, it is possible that they were trying to add a more realistic corpse to the display... Well, in that case, of course I'll HAVE to forgive them, bless their little hearts! LOL Only trying to make Halloween better... who can blame them?

My head seems to be on the mend now, thanks for your well-wishes! I'm really glad it wasn't so bad that I was put out of commission for the rest of the prep time before Halloween! That woulda sucked!

Of course, now that I think of it... real corpses might not be a bad addition... Heeerrrreeee kittty kitty kitty.... Muahahahaha

Hmmm. Now it all makes sense.
