This has probably been asked before but,
do you film your TOT'S, im gonna do it this year using a webcam and the Mywebcam software, which allows me to see everything on my iPhone.
So im just wondering if anyone has any hilarious or cool footage from previous Halloweens.
Just to clarify, the camera isn't going to be directed right at the TOT'S it will be more like a security camera, so the display will also be in view (people faces won't been seen etc). I guess i should put a sign up so they know they are being filmed and for security purposes.
Please share any videos or ideas

In todays world where everybody seems scared of thier own shadow, i think you will find a lot of parents will take great offense to you filming thier children without permission.
even more so if its finding its way to the web.

Thats a good point icyuod, i didn't realise that the video would have to be on the web, i just assumed you would have the option whether or not you decided to broadcast it. To be honest i don't think anyone in my area would me offended if they were being filmed, most people would assume that its to see there reaction to the display/haunt. Not that you shouldn't consider whether or not you are going to film people first of course.
So now that Mywebcam isn't a option does anyone know of any software which does the same thing without broadcasting to the internet ????
Thanks Phil

Legally you can film anyone who comes up onto your front lawn or porch. I film trick or treaters every year and throw it up onto youtube, although filming at night is difficult as is getting the right angles and trying to hide the camera.

stick a creepy sign on the front lawn that tells of your intent to film your visitors.
it will give all those peeps that don't want to be on film, the option to walk away before it's too late.
more importantly peeps will be less likely to think your a wierdo secretly video taping thier children.

If anyone else wants to use the same idea as me then there is another software called jumicam it is free for the wifi only version and doesn't stream to the internet, just your iphone/ipod, the quality isn't great but it is good enough if your using a good webcam.
It can be purchased from itunes
Thanks
