    Hi guys/gals,
This is my first year where we are going to decorate our front lawn as a graveyard. I've heard many people say to flood light the yard with some fog creates a great look. I was wondering where can I buy spiked flood lights to plug in? I don't have a outlet in my front yard, so I usually run a 75ft extension chord (heavy duty) to the front to plug stuff in.

Would home depot or orchard sell these? Thanks in advance!!

PS, I bought one 1000W low laying fog machine. Do you think it's enough to at least cover half of my 900sq ft yard? Thanks.

This isn't my site - but if you look at the second picture, that's the type that I use. I highly suggest the metal lights, not the green plastic ones. The metal ones will last you forever, but the plastic is fairly weak and breaks easily.

The plastic ones I've found at Wal-Mart or Home Depot (although Home Depot may not have the coloured bulbs.) The ones I have are spiked, but come with a converter to allow you to mount them. Some of them have a built in outlet so you can plug them into each other.

I'd be interested in any flood or spotlight info too. (I've heard a lot about coloured LED floods - are those available locally?)

I actually used dual flood light mounts (normally intended for walls)...they can be bought at any hardware store...they cost about $6 each...then I wired them to a plug...they work AWESOME...double the light...I mounted them to plywood...trust me best price for what you get...quick and easy.

You can get them at home depot. When they begin putting out christmas stuff in late october, you can get them for about $4. They are very good and are not grounded, so no special cords needed.

Okay, I will have a look at home depot and see what they have. Also will check Wal-Greens.

Temperature and wind can really impact what your fog does...the best thing to do is to fire that puppy up and check it out yourself. The warmer it is, the better low lying fog goes....the colder the weather, the worse it gets. So chances are if you test it now, you'll know what the best you're going to get is.
