I was feeling a little depressed/stressed out this evening with work and life and such. My apartment was a MESS (thanks to my fiance who left for a 3 week military training and left piles of crap everywhere). Worst of all, this mess had been stopping me from decorating for Halloween!

Well tonight I cleaned up his crap and spookified my apartment! Unfortunately, I'm a young haunter without many funds for decorations or a yard for haunting. I realized I really just have a lot of cool Halloween candles. But still...after turning the lights off and feeling the glow of all of those candles I can really feel that Halloween is near. I can feel all that stress just melt away.

Now I just hope my fire alarm doesn't go off when I blow them all out for bedtime!

    Happy Halloween!!!!!!

Blow them out one at a time in intervels. My thanks and greatfullness goes to your fiance for serving in the military. I hope your spirt is kept high. Candles go along way. I'm a college student myself so the funding I understand. You can do alot with very little.
halloween is a super cool holiday.

A bag of spider webbing goes a long way to help decorate... & can be found at a dollar store. If you use velcro dots, can place spider webbing or shredded cheese cloth anywhere. Make your own designed tombstones out of a piece of foam.

Add some Halloween candy & play your favorite Halloween music & your set!

Wow, how I agree about the spider webs. We have all been sick for over a week here and the decorating came almost to a halt. I have my first party THIS Saturday and have been on the verge of cancelling it. DH started adding webs Sunday afternoon, but ended up back in bed with chills. Today, I had to work and I received a text from him that he was up and feeling a tad better. He told me that he was spookifying the house. I had a good laugh and wondered what he was up to at home. We had a lot of props up and quite a bit of decorating done, but it was not where I wanted it to be this late. I came home tonight to tons of spider webs adorning the ceilings and he is right, it added A LOT of ambiance.

You are all so right! Spider webbing is SUPER cheap and it really makes the place seem spooky. I found some other decorations...window clings and pumpkin buckets. I Youtubed Halloween music and I am in the best mood! YAY!

Being outside with that elusive smell of fall in the air gets me in the mood! I noticed it a lot when I dropped one of the daughter's friends off at home last night. And fall-scented candles....leaves changing....you get the point!

{{hugs}} to you & your man for being a military family! It's tough but SO rewarding!
