I just don't feel motivated to haul it all out and then have to put it away. I think this year I will only decorate with a few of my favorite/best props. Then again, once I get started, I may keep going! The kids are getting older and I'm not going to have people over this year so we'll see.

That's OK. Seems like a lot of members are having a hard time getting motivated this year.
Better to decorate a little than not at all. Plus, the more you put out, the more you'll probably want to add to it.

Nothing wrong with taking things back to a more comfortable level. Who knows, maybe going through boxes will renew the spirit. Maybe it won't. Either way, do what feels right and enjoy yourself.

Decorating is supossed to make you happy - if it doesn't, don't do it! It should never feel like a chore but I think it comes to that for all of us every now and then. Scale back and enjoy a simple stress-free holiday!

I'm feeling it this year as well. Still excited about Halloween and putting up the haunt but I'm feeling the tiredness creeping in already. I can only imagine what I'll be like two weeks from now! This is our last full haunt year and we're scaling back next year as well. It's become too much of a chore and takes away some of the enjoyment, having so much work to do to set it all up. No problem with a smaller version IMO.

I'm feeling the same way. I had big plans this year but I think I got a hernia and can't lift the tubs so I give up. Then some little punk I got into it with is creeping by daily and now his mommy is joining him to cause problems so I constantly worry about my stuff. Maybe if I kick her butt I'll feel all better

I almost wish for that feeling. I am overdoing it this year and stressing over the deadline. I went a little nuts.
