Hey all! I have a question, it might be a dumb one but here goes. I have several Styrofoam grave stones that I use to decorate my haunt. They come with their own stakes that you insert into the grave stone and stick them in the ground. Many of them have broken or just got lost. I have used wire coat hangers in the past. I just clip them and stick them in the grave stone. They work okay but I like the stakes that are "T" shaped. Is there anywhere I can buy these or does anyone have advice on making ones that work well?

I asked the same question last year and got lots of helpful advice. What I finally ended up doing was getting adhesive zip tie holders, and zip tying the gravestones to rebar. I used gorilla glue on the zip tie holders to make it more secure. Hope this helps!

here is a similar idea, you can also put a piece of 1/2 inch pvc pipe on the back, glue them on with standard foam-board adhesive and slip it over the rebar. Just need to wait couple days for the glue to cure.

Throwing in my two cents: I just walked in from setting up my tombstones and I used the green stakes you can get in the fencing dept at Lowes. They look like the stuff they make stop-sign posts out of. You could use wire or zip ties easily because they have holes in it all the way down, or screws if your stones have a wood backing.

what I did with mine was i cut up felt and hot glued them to the back of the form tombstone. Mind you leave an opening for craft bar. I cut the craft bar in half or 3 times and hammer them into the ground and slide the back of the tombstone through the bar and ta-da!

I use regular wooden stakes and then use a zip tie through the actual styrofoam to hold them in place. Its worked for 3 years, and I only have to poke the holes once. When I take them in at the end of halloween, I just cut the zip tie, and pull up my stake. I reuse them the next year. I also do this for my fencing, any signs and as supposrts for the arches that make my tunnel. (adding a new tunnel this year!)
