Or simply come and kick me in the rear....

I have my cemetery columns made and painted, I just need to clear coat/weather proof them. My gravestones are sitting in the garage waiting for their home in the yard. My grim reaper is standing in my dining room waiting for an adjustment, and I just can't seem to find the energy to do my decorating.

I swear the twins I'm carrying are anti-Halloween....remind me to never again get pregnant in June, July or August!

Motivation must come from within.....never mind, sounds like you already have a couple within.

Being from Texas, you should be motivated to get done, so you can watch Nebraska beat up on the Longhorns this weekend without worrying about your props

First of all congrats on your pregnancy, it's very tiring carrying those little bundles of joy..I was always falling asleep when carrying my Sons. Take it easy and don't stress. Can get a family member or friend to give you a hand?

Before I start, I ask myself if stressing is worth it.
I've determined (almost) every-time that it isn't, and then I do what I want and if stuff doesn't get finished, so be it. I do this craziness for me, because Halloween is an artistic mechanism for me, so if I'm not having fun or if something isn't making me happy, I chuck it and do something else that will make me happy.
No need to stress or bother too much over a hobby, if you don't want to do something, then HELL, don't do it!
Anyway, maybe you should take it easy this year.
I mean, eating, caring for, moving, and expending energy for three is tough work.

Images of Halloween, projects for Halloween, and rants about Halloween, all year long. Halloween is Beautiful.

You have one of life's biggest projects in the works.....your twins! Listen to your body and take it easy your gonna need your energy once the babies are born . Things will get done and employ the help of others as well. Congrat's on the babes!

See now, this is where I would turn teenagers to good use, by hiring them to finish the clear coating - I might even let them set out tombstones or do some decorating, and see if they came up with something that surprised me.

Either way, you've still got time - don't stress! If it doesn't get done this year, consider it halfway done for next year- that way you've got a head start!

This is a topic that's been on my mind a lot lately. I've been very non-motivated for the first time since I've been decorating like this a lot of it having to do with anything from not having extra cash to finish props, to my daughters 15th Bday party last Saturday taking over the garage so they could use it as a disco, which is where I do my prop staging so I had to wait until Sunday to start moving everything in, to my knee blowing up about 3 weeks ago leaving it very painful and just last night I had to have it drained and injected which has slowed my work ability. I was telling my wife and some friends the past couple of weeks that I might just take this year off but, I don't know how your friends are but everyone was telling me how disappointed people would be if I did nothing which does led to some stress about not wanting that. Like many have posted I know it'll be what it'll be, I'll end up putting out most of my "old"(to me stuff and everyone will be happy even though there isn't the amount of new stuff I had hoped for. Most of it is sitting like the OP's half done and at this point it's not going to be finished. I'm actually pretty clam, as I type this, though, I think I've come to the realization it's just a "down" , by my not others standards I'm sure, year, but that will make next year just that much better. Most of my new stuff is really almost done so finishing it up should be easy. Heck I'll probably end up with so much extra time I'll go way overboard in 2011! So to the OP do what you can do, do worry there will be a lot more Halloween seasons to come if you don't finish everything this one!

Yep, you're the only one that will know the difference. I too have cut back on the new stuff and although it's frustrating to know what should have been, the ToTs will have no clue on what's missing because they'll be enjoying what you have done.

Hallow and wooo hooo! TWINS ON THE WAY!! So what are you doing girlfriend? Trying to do waaaay too much I fear! Mama Boo's advice is the same as all your other Forum pals -- TAKE IT EASY!! Take it from this Mama Boo. I raised 4 and gave birth to the first on October 25th! Phew - that was close!! Those l'il pumpkins are all you need to focus on! Calm yourself dear - sit a spell in your rocking chair and put that prop motor on auto pilot to rock you for awhile! LOL -
Just think - a year from now - you will REALLY have to deal with little monsters on Halloween!!
