Thread: Morgue of 09 vs Asylum of 10

Last year me and a friend decided to go nutty. We made a morgue. The turn out was great, as were the impressions. This year we had to go bigger. 3 x bigger. The morgue was 8' x 16'. The asylum is 16' x 33' . Now we have been working on it now for the past month. We are making great progress. Here are some pictures of last year verse this year.

We are doing this crazyness to raise food for our local hunger center. We will post fliers next week at the stores. Hopefully the turnout will surpass last years. We won't have everything out till Friday. We are going to run this for 3 days. LOL!!!

So I take it its not impressive?

I think its more than impressive Porter! I think you may not have alot of comments because the pictures are very slow to open. Luckly I was watching Halloween Tree on the computer so I had time.

I really like the Gargoyles from last year I am a big fan of those in any form. I like the new pitched entrance. What are your plans for the entrance decor?

Wow, that is quite a difference in size!! Seems like a pretty big endeavor! I loved the pics from last year, though it would have been great to be able to see more inside the morgue too, but the pics of the outside were very cool!

I love the pumpkin headed guy, that's a really cool prop! Are you going to do any paint treatment or facade kind of thing on the outside of the structure this year? Like make it look like bricks or anything? Just curious.

Please take pics of the inside this year as well as your finished lawn, because I'd really love to see them! Your haunt looks like it's going to be really cool! Keep us posted!

Well here is a small update. Gris, I ran the idea of the gargoyles by my buddy. He said its a go. We are moving along with the progress. I will be taking more pictures this week. I will also re-size the current ones so that they don't take forever to load. I will also have a video of Halloween of the whole ordeal. Here is a basic list of what we will have going on:

Well this year I'm not doing much. I first son was born 3 weeks ago. And he has kept me very busy.
