I didn't think they shrunk? shrank? shrunked?...got smaller by a lot. At least the little toys I've gotten the nephews haven't reduced a lot. But I really have no experience with them.

Someone posted about the growing and shrinking aspect of them last year and that this did in fact happen. You might try searching for this post because they might have done some time tests that might be helpful to you. I don't think they shrank right away -- maybe 5 hours later? but really not sure and didn't save the post.

I only do my haunt on halloween night so just need it for the one night. I was planning on creating a small "plastic film" creek for my ground snake to lay in, hoping it would stay moist and not shrink that way, at least for the night. As for any that I was going to put in a tree branch, I thought if it was near a mister it might stay damp enough not to dry out. I picked up a few of the snakes at the DOLLAR TREE and thought I would do some tests of my own but haven't had the need to yet. They will eventualy be part of my Skull Island theme one year.

I could see some type of sealing product maybe helping keep them at the enlarge state but it also could keep them from being flexible. Interesting thought though.

I always thought they shrunk when taken out but enlarged again when put back in.

I did one last year, it shrank a little but it is still over a foot long, actually looks pretty good..so I am using it somewhere different this year, you should be able to grow it again, soak it in a large tub and when it gets to the size you want set it out it takes forever for it to shrink up anyway

    Hello,
Well I was going to send it to someone, and it looks so real,, Im just wondering what I can send it in, since I cant send it in water it will be to heavy,, wonder if I could preserve it in some kind of lubricant jelly or something, then sticking it into a ziplock bag,,, it even feels real! but maybe I will try to see how long one will last first, Ill mess around with it and see what happens, I will also look for the post that was posted last year about preserving the grow toys, maybe I can find something out about it... thanks

Haven't experimented myself, but I don't think that they will grow again from posts that were made before.

Not sure if this is the thread I was thinking of but you can scan backwards and forward through it as the grow snakes are mentioned a number of times. I'm in a hurry to get off the computer right now otherwise would look through the thread myself. On page 3 down towards the bottom there's a pic someone took of the snakes expanding.
