It's a matter of supplies, not decorations

I always under estimate how big the budget gets for supplies. I can't even THINK about buying more decor or props now, even if I wanted to- and I do! My halloween store is now home depot. Every single thing needed now is supplies. Tapes, lights, hardware, you name it. It's not nearly as fun as going to Spirit! And it ain't cheap either! The last money spent for the season will be on half price sales for props and decor. I like ending with halloween buying again and reduced prices, it's fun too.

Now where'd I put the damn stapler...

I'm with ya on that one Dan! lol I would love to be able to go to Halloween stores and get a bunch of stuff, but pretty much our entire budget is blown on supplies to make stuff, rather than being able to buy the cool store props. At this point, we're down to the last dregs of our budget, and there are still a bunch of things I'd love to buy. lol

I found the stapler! ... Now where are the staples....

Supplies are expensive! That's what kills my budget. I don't buy too many store bought props. I miss the days of $10 a gallon paint!

There are other holidays besides Halloween? When did they start that?

I already own all the store bough props I could want. Everything is just a repeated variation of something in my collection. I get a bigger kick out of making my own but I never consider storage while building them. Curse you overactive imagination.

I moved earlier this year, divorce, with 13 years worth of items coming to my new place a little at a time. My Halloween stuff was a huge haul, so I put it off until 2 weeks ago. Stupidly forgot my flood lights, cords, everything. The more I went through it, the more I realized wasn't there. Last weekend I had to make the tedious and expensive shopping trip to buy all that crap. Wasn't much fun at all seeing some things I want, but doing the budget friendly thing and buying what I need. I feel ya.
"Where ya going, baby? You going to get the corpses?"
"Yes, Moe...I'm going to get the corpses..."
