You know those camping popup covets? Well I was considering using some scene setter walls and haunt it. Anyone ever done that? How did it work?

I used them last year but for a party tent, not walk through....There was lot's of wind and it really ruffled the walls on the strong gusts so I'm not sure how well that would work in windy conditions...If you built a wall around it like the pros do with the big tents would help against that...They will keep the rain off people for a couple hours but if you set it up a day before in a constant rain, it will be leaking by the time your event starts....I got 2 10X20's with sidewalls for this year so they do help....The party would have been canceled without them last year so it definitely makes a difference....ZR

Agreed, as a tent haunter these pop ups are fine for a day or so..but any wind gusts stronger than about 5 miles per hour can send them flying. You can weigh them down inside with 2x4 and plywood walls..and then use wire or rope attached to re-bar stakes to make guy lines...that will help. The biggest problem will be if the structure can support the pull of the wind and the top will stay on then. I've seen a lot of the pop-up types fail in wind because they are cheaply made...a 10x20 carport with sidewalls, built up and strapped down the way I mentioned is a much better solution.
