Thread: Scaling back this year

So we moved from Alexandria, VA to Richmond Hill, GA this year.

We've decided to take a break from the full display this season, and ease into it for the new neighborhood. Perhaps this year I'll actually be able to go TOT'ing with the kids!

It's bittersweet, I have to admit. The pressure is certainly off to top last year's show, but the haunting itch is difficult not to scratch. We created a great reputation over nine years, and now we need to start all over. But, new house, new canvas, new TOTs to spook in the coming year....muhahaha.

This year, I'm just putting out some lighting, the FCG in the window, and a small graveyard.....maybe a pneumatic if I think we'll get any TOTs our way. We're a bit off the beaten path of the 'hood.

Fortunately, I met a guy here that does a great live-action pirate show in November, and we've decided to combine our talents. So, I still get to use my animated skeletons and pirate ship for that show.

Have a great Haunting season everyone, I'll be back in it again for next year!

What's funny is that your "scaled back"version is still way more than the average person will do this year!

How true! For a lot of us, scaling back would still be over the top for most other folks. Nothing wrong with taking it easy for a year. Have fun!
