Greetings everybody...
Upke here, an avid reader. Not so much a poster. I've decided to come out of hiding to show you what I've been working on the last couple of months. But before I do I'd like to give you, the community a big thank you! This forum has been most valuable. It has helped me fix some serious issue's I've been having (thanks once again everyone who helped me with dmx). Once again a big thanks to Phoenix_AU_was_UK aswell for helping me out with the Exorcist and everything technical around it. This forum has been a great inspiration. Anway, onto the good stuff.
I built my first haunt 3 years ago. It consisted of some colored lights and some cheap bought props. Everyone here loved it though. Halloween is steadily growing in popularity here in the Netherlands but it's still nowhere near what it is over in the States. Still everybody loved it. So I decided to expand. Last year I built a haunt with a story behind it. I don't do walkthroughs or garden haunting because I don't have the space for it (and because we don't have a front yard, it's just a big parking lot). Because of this I present my visitors a 4 minute show with light, smoke en video effects. Here is a video of last years haunt. Mind you, everything you see is hand controlled. The lighting, the sound the smoke. It's me behind the curtain pulling the strings (literally) Everybody loved it. (they also thought I was completely crazy, a byproduct I guess)
This year I've automated everything. It's much cooler as I can actually see how my visitors react and what they think. And beside that It's just a great personal accomplishment. (learnt a lot about electricity and prop controlling)
Anyway here's a walkthrough video explaining tech and abit of story. Enjoy!

Hello,
Hope everyone had a great Halloween!
Everything worked perfect and the visitors loved the display. Next year I've been offered a bigger site. So no more garage haunting. Out with the big guns
Anyway here's a video. Quality isn't that great, but meh, will have to do.
