I'm kinda in a halloween funk. I have finished our personal yard, but still have to set up and finish all of the graveyard, and I'm just blah. I want to do it, but I just don't have the actual motivation. I think it's the weather (dropped 20 degrees over the weekend and is staying there) and I'm feeling a bit over whelmed with things I need or want to get done. What's your cure for being in a funk?

Sorry to hear that you're in a funk. When I have a day like that I like to turn on some Halloween music and come here to the forum - this forum alone is enough to get me motivated!
Hope you're back to normal soon. Well, as normal as anyone on these forums is ... lol!

Heres my cure. I was beat yesterday from set up so I picked a favorite scary movie, I made a cup of hot apple cider, I lit a pumpkin candle and I filled a Pumpkin Pail to the top with air pop butter popcorn and watched the movie. I am still buzzing on what a great time I had! Give that a try

I watched America's Funniest Videos' Halloween special yesterday and cracked myself up. Go to Youtube and search "AFV + Halloween." There a 10 minute clip that is funny.
Even though you may not have the energy, plan a good, little simple scare for a loved one. There isn't anything better than seeing somebody jump out of their wits. And, it helps boost you Halloween spirit.

I know the feeling, the temperature here in NY has dropped and it rained for almost a week. This weekend was sunny and cool. The next few days, rain and more rain. I want to put out my displays but our neighborhood has been targeted by vandals, so putting them out is not a smart thing to do right now. I was not happy, did all this work and now there is a chance it was for next to nothing.
On Saturday I finished my pumpkin dropper. To see how he looked I placed him up on the roof. I was blown away! He looked better than I could have possibly imagined. So I put out a few more. One silly little prop wiped out a week worth of lousy weather and brat kids! Go out and look at your work!Making the world a funnier place, one blucky at a time

In my case I find that staying away from my family does wonders. After this many months of hearing me talk about Halloween they are done listening and just suck the fun out of it for me.
I'll give em a few more weeks and they'll be into it...
I just sat down rested for a bit and then kicked myself in the butt this weekend to get back into the garage when the stress got a bit too high. :P
Good luck...
