Thread: New neighbors: think they're gonna fit in juuuuuuuuuust fine around here

Okay...so we got new neighbors about, I don't know, five or six months ago. I've only met them in passing a couple/few times but they seem nice. The dad who lives there is sort of biker-esque and introduced my kids to his two dogs and just seemed super friendly.

So far so good.

Well, these are the neighbors who put up a witch (yeah, she's glittery but I'm no purist!) a couple of weeks ago and got me all excited. After they put her out, I put up a little "autumn harvest" decoration on my front porch with small hay bales, a bunch of 'kins, some hay, etc.

Then my neighbors put up a Halloween flag.

PURE HEAVEN. That was my go-ahead to put up my big spider and a bunch of spider webs yesterday.

Then this morning, guess what...my neighbors have spider webs all over their bushes and a creepy head hanging from their porch light!!

Okay, I LOVE THESE PEOPLE! I hope they put up more stuff, although their house already looks pretty cool. I am putting up my cemetery probably tomorrow or Monday as the weather will be cooler and windy and generally just perfect for it. I want to see if the neighbors put up more too. These are the people right next door to me. I have a feeling we could all be friends!!

Don't you just love a good neighbor who is friendly enough to put severed heads out in early October instead of waiting? A good neighbor is truly a gift...(wiping a tear from my eye)

There is a house a few corners down from me that put out a ring of ghosts around her tree about two weeks ago, I went and talked to her and she seemed way sweet, I want to leave her a tombstone gift or something.

Heh heh...it is super cool when you have neighbors who are down with the whole haunting thing.

You totally should. A house at the end of my street -- a mother and her young daughter -- always go all out. Last year I gave them three PVC candles and a Halloween card as an anonymous gift...I saw them being used a night later. It was really a good feeling.

Gosh, you are so lucky.

I have had such bad luck with party pooper neighbors.

My dream is to one day move into a house, and find that I am next door to a Halloween Forum member.

Ditto! And BTW - There's a house for sale on my street...just two doors down!
