My better 1/2 doesn't share my love of halloween. she leaves me to my own devices but i don't think she really enjoys the decor going up early.
the neighbourhood is starting to look creepy.
na says "its too early"
i say "game on!"
took advantage of a beautiful fri afternoon and got the ball a rolling.
my bride is 1/2 a mannequinn with a value village used wedding dress. the neighbour donated her bouquet and i sprayed it black.
she moves back and forth on a 6' light rail. i suspended a 6' branch below the rail and offset her on one side and i'll add a floating lantern to the other side.
(think kids mobile)
the 2 ghosts are also on a mobile type set up.
my mad scientist jars are lit with a set of rona deck/floor lights ($35 for 6)
just drilled holes in the shelves and popped em in place.
the boxed of shelves hide all the wiring.
my grim is a halloween costume i sewed a couple few years back.
i try to make all my costumes, items that will double as halloween props the following year year.
even found me a real tombstone. go figure.
its a meagure start, but the ball is a rolling.
enjoy, and happy halloween!

Great start!
The only downfall of Halloween is it only happens once a year.

thx guys and gals.
punked a few idea's from the good members here on the forum, and came up with a couple myself.
i'm just getting started. i have a couple more bucky's to do, a few mannequins to finish and i would love to add a cemetary gate/fence.
i have to pick up some wiper motors to do a ouija board, hang man and fcg.
more tombstones to put up, crosses/ skulls/webbing also.
my big tasks will be building a hang mans cage for my gallows/bucky, and perhaps an electric chair.
i've started early so there will be plenty o time for on the fly builds.

Everything looks fantastic! I've roped my better half into building me a FCG this Halloween. He doesn't share my 'enthusiasm' but he is supportive of me. He knows it makes me happy and the house is happier if Momma's happy...lol
Your work has made me realize I have to get my behind in gear!!
As I was going up the stair, I saw a man that wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today...Oh how I wish he'd go away.

Very nice!
The only thing that bugs me is the blacklight right out there in the tree aimed were everyone can see it.
Besides the fact that it's right out there, blacklight UV doesn't cause the pupil to contract like normal light would when shined into the eyes, so that means that anyone that stares into the light too long could get permanent eye damage. It's like staring into the sun and not having it make your eyes blink, water and force you to look away... the eye doesn't know to protect itself.
If it was directly overhead most people wouldn't bother staring straight up, but as it's on level with some of your props' sightlines, it could be a problem if you got somebody that just STARED into it for several minutes.
It looks like you have a support beam that's holding up some of your ghosties... could the light be attached to that maybe so it's directly overhead?
Just my opinion, but I'd want to avoid both the light being so obvious for aesthetic reasons and any possibility of causing any injury no matter how slight.
