Halloween is upon us. Halloween 2010 is going to be the best ever for Halloween fans.

Halloween Forum has a lot of new visitors and members that have found us within the past few months. I wanted to post this message to both thank our great members and moderators as well as help introduce the forum to our new community members.

My Name is Larry. I am the guy who created and manages Halloween Forum along with some great moderators.

We launched the forum back in 2002. When we launched, there really was not a lot of places on the Internet for us Halloween fanatics to hang out all year.

Things have evolved over the past few years. The most obvious change is the quality of props that home haunters create and the type of items that we can buy these days.

It is our members that collectively make this an amazing community. It is the contributions that each member posts that makes the community an amazing resource. I will always work to make this a better community for YOU!

We have visitors and members that range from those just now getting into Halloween, to both very talented home haunters and professional haunters.
Some members do not know me personally. I am pretty laid back, although I work a lot. Spammers and trolls (those who purposely try to cause problems) do not like it here. That is because the moderators and I really attempt to keep a family friendly atmosphere with as little problems and drama as possible. I wish that we could go without rules, however we all know that without our simple rules, the forum would be full of spam, content would be hard to find because of big flashy signatures, and people would be have flame wars (insult each other).

I do my best. If ever you need anything, please feel free to ask me, or one of our moderators. If you have a problem or issue, let me know. I cannot fix something that I am not aware is an issue. We want you here. We want you to feel comfortable and come back often.

Because people ask... I am extremely passionate about Halloween and have run Halloween web sites for many years. Personally, being a work-a-holic (and love it), the majority of decorating that I personally do is lighting, the right soundscape and store bought props. I make some things and some props, but really have not made the time that I need. I am very much a perfectionist with décor, so things take me too long. I hope to improve so that I can have more of a mix.

I want to make sure that all members feel comfortable here. I want you to have fun. I want you to share your passion for Halloween.

LURKERS: I understand that there are many of you who are you lurking and not signing up. Why not sign up? Say hello. We really would love for you to be part of our community. You will help our community by signing up and sharing your thoughts and opinions. Whether you are a beginner, or a pro, you are welcome. There are people on all levels of experience and knowledge.
