So the theme for this years haunt Carnival of Souls, you know, clowns, sideshows, stuff like that. Well, being from a rinky dink town, there isn't anyone around with any talent, so I came up this. I need a lot more practice, trying to be as safe as possible. But I think this will be a big hit!

    Very very dangerous.

I am a professional magician/escape artist/fire eater. I have been eating fire for three years. I do not breath fire, for more reasons than just getting burned. Doing anything with fire is very dangerous and can KILL you. All you need to do is inhale a flame, and you will ignite the oxygen in your lungs, which will cauterize the aveoli in your lungs and you will suffocate. There is NO reversal of that. It is not something a friend can throw a bucket of water at.

This is not something to learn from youtube. I am not saying that is how you learned, I don't know how you learned. You learn fire performing from a professional. There is also much more than just the breathing/eating that makes it dangerous.

I am not trying to be mean or anything, just making you aware of the dangers.

They do this for the tourists in a lot of countries. They don't do it very long as kindividuals because the various flamable liquids they use eat up their throats.

Don't get too comfortable doing it. That's when you end up doing something stupid to make it interesting and someone gets hurt.

I don't think that you should do it unless, like someone mentioned above, that you've been taking lessons from a professional. Instead, you could dress up as a scary looking clown with blood dripping down the sides of your mouth with sharp teeth and have one of those fake but realistic-looking chainsaws to chase people around with.

It's not the fuels burning your throat, they are often carcinogens.

I eat fire, yes. I don't do it for fun, or for friends. I do it as work. When you are having fun with it is when you'll wind up getting hurt.
