I got the graveyard fence up and, yes, I am tired and sweaty even though it is only around 78 degrees! I seem to remember it going up a lot easier last year.
Oh - and my 19 year old son, who was helping me, managed to smack himself in the face with the end of a pvc pipe and now has a black eye! Great day so far!Dear Sweet Leota, Beloved By All. In Regions Beyond Now But Having a Ball...

It is a lot of work! Last week I got the inside of the house all decorated and I was working on the haunted garage for the past three days. It's almost done but I still have a ton of lights to hang up and a few more things I need to buy to add to it. Since it is now officially October, I get to start on the yard! I'm probably going to focus on that this weekend. I find that if you break everything up, it doesn't seem so overwelming. Don't try to get it all done at the same time otherwise you'll go crazy!!!

LOL, I haven't even really begun yet. I went into the garage and saw all the stuff on the shelves and just thought, "what am I getting myself into"! Needless to say I'm back on the computer. lol
It's only going to be in the high 50's low 60's here for the next couple days so really don't want to go outside and do anything. Damn MN and it's cold Oct.

I find putting it away is actually easier than getting it out.
But yes, it is hard work. I started most my stuff yesterday and am nowhere near done. It's hot outside (90s) and I'm having a helluva time getting the graves to stay up.
I find the hardest part is actually getting to the point where it looks good. When you first start and there are boxes all over and gaps where stuff will go later, it looks pretty awful (at least mine does). So I want to get to the point where it looks nearly complete and actually damn good.
Not there yet.
I also have new things I'm adding to my display this year and have no idea how it's going to look when done. The first is a large tree (about 5'10) with purple lights on it. I put that up yesterday in the corner of the porch and it looks pathetic all alone there.
Then I have two zombie/demon thingies that will placed somewhere on my porch (running out of room). Purchased moss for the first time (three huge bags) to place down for effect and added some netting around part of the porch (I don't like it, but we'll see how it looks when done). Then there is a huge skull that I bought on impulse and I don't have a clue where I'm going to put it.
Finally, a new strand of lights. I've never put up lights like that, but I thought it'd look cool around the porch. But again, I've got to find a place for it. Overall, it's a mess right now and quite overwhelming.
