I used the corn syrup & food dye to make "blood" for a project for science fair in high school lol It worked really good to go on a poster, it took about a day or two to dry, so I would be careful about it getting on any light colored fabrics.
Hello, I want my book. Bonjour, je veux mon livre.

Corn syrup, red food colouring and a little Hersey's chocolate syrup - awesome stuff.
Used this last year for Zombies and a bloody bathroom scene. Sticky at first but dries up - cleaned the entire bathroom with hot soapy water and an old cloth - never so easy to do.

For permanent blood on props I use banner red oil based paint. I runs good and splatters good.
I dont remember the brand I think it is just the ACE hardware store brand

I use straight from the tube Scarlet artist acrylic. You can get the cheaper tube at Hobby Lobby for about 4 bucks.

I've not used it but I've heard nothing but raves about Perma Blood.
Most of my blood needs are met by corn syrup with some red & green food coloring in it, maybe some cornstarch if I need it thicker, but mostly that's on things than can be rinsed off or washed. But for the most part I'm not really into the bloody/gory stuff as much anymore.Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers, the best damn little band you should be listening to!

This year, for most of my props that I want to stain permanently I've been using Michael's acrylic paint. I found this dark red color (Americana by DecoArt; color - "Alizarin Crimson". It dries dark and nasty. Sometimes I'll add a smidge of black to darken it even more for dried on blood. Then I spray over the project with a matte sealer.
