This is my first year doing the secret reaper thing and I noticed here and there are photos of the loot. Can you guys post your photos on this this thread of either your favorite reap you ever sent a victim or the best reap you've ever received. What made it so awesome? Do you have tips for all the new reapers out there. Don't let me down guys!!! I'm taking my victim very seriously!

Although many have posted as they received things, we are supposed to wait until everyone receives there SR package. That is why so many have not posted yet. I have to admit, it has been nice to have the great photos as we went along. It was like a commercial teaser of what is yet to come. LOL
Now, though, I am hoping that everyone who has already posted will do so again when our leader and organizer, Bethene, gives us the okay to post them. It would be wonderful to have all 100 plus reaper gifts in one thread. I can just imagine going back to view all the wonderful things throughout the year. It will be like looking at Christmas morning videos all year.
It was my first time to participate in the Secret Reaper this time. I have signed up for the second round. I now have pulled all my stuff out from last year and hope to find some of the new stuff I bought after Halloween last year to use for my 2nd reapee of the year. I know that I bought a lot of stuff, but just can't remember what....LOL

This is my first time too as well. I enjoyed looking to see what I have or to shop for or ask for ideas and thoughts. I am doing the Part II to make sure these people get Reap as well.

If I was selling the props I made, I went well over the budget. However, in terms of actually acquiring all the supplies and extra add-ins to make it a complete package, I was under the budget by a few dollars.
That's why I build so much with unwanted materials--boxes, scrap fabric, damaged books, recovered wood, etc. It's significantly cheaper and turns out better than anything you could get in that price range once you know what you're doing. Oh papier mache, you treat me so good.

This is my second secret reaper group. I did the post-halloween reaper group and 20 dollars bought you a ton of stuff <especially with all Halloween going on sale> and you were able to make a bunch too.
This next one will be my husbands' third and he's done well with staying on budget and keepin it personalized.
Sometimes, it's hard to stay within the 20 buck mark.
But, I have paid more for shipping than my actual cost to buy the products. Go figure.

I try more to fit the person rather than the amount. I have to say I always go over usually because I get carried away. I see this in a store and I say oh they would love that, then I see something at a yard sale and I say oh I could do this or that to it and send it to them!!! Then I see something on Etsy ooooooo I have to get that for them and on and on. either way I have enjoyed each and every Secret Reaper I have participated in, and as much as I am on here dying to get my gift (which I did btw and LOVE IT) I have to say the most fun I have is putting together the box for my vicitm. Making sure everything is just so and imagining their face when they open each item. The second best thing is getting that pm from my victim saying they got it and how much they liked it. My victim this year sent me the nicest thank you ever and I really appreciated that
(you know who you are)
So yes I usually go over but I dont think it matters if you go over or under or stay right at the intended amount. Its the thought you put behind it that really counts!!Linus: You've heard about fury and a woman scorned?
Charlie Brown: Yes, I guess I have.
Linus: Well that is nothing compared to the fury of a woman who has been cheated out of tricks or treats!

I build or create a prop based on the person then buy small filler items each year.....so, I spend, build or fill until it "feels" complete! Plus why the heck am i going to worry about a cap when it's going to cost me double, even triple the cap to send that darn thing anyway....if I'm going to spend $40-$60 to ship I'm going to make it worth your while to open it! lol Oh, and I checked all four of the blocks because they all apply to some extent!
