i was stalking around slickdeals and this came up:

Slickdeals link ->Halloween 400 Watt Fogger Machine $20
Walmart link -> Halloween Fogger Machine - 400 Watt, Silver (Machine only)

someone also pointed out that this is the same 400w fog machine made by gemmy . I'm trying to get some expert feedback to see if it's worth my trouble to buy 2 of these and build some fog chillers or if i should just hold out and get some 1000w fog machines.

    Thanks!

For the Price, go for it! It is worth it to just get two of these, maybe even three, which will be even lesser than the cost of a 1000watt Fogger. I have a 700 Watt Fogger I got for $40, but these would work just fine.

Maintenance is most important to keep ANY fog machine working. You've got to "clean" it with a couple of cups of white vinegar and distilled water into an empty tank before you store it after Halloween.

Some folks have found this to be all that is needed to keep their foggers running happily for years. Others say that every couple of months you should run a quarter tank of fog juice through it, then repeat the vinegar mix cleaning is best for the machine.

All agree that the fog juice tends to "sticky up" the workings and periodic cleaning is essential.

I have one that I've been using for about five years with no problems at all. Last year I connected it with a chiller and had great results. Well worth $20, even though I paid $10 for mine the day after Halloween!

    Go for it.
Make sure to check it out that it works properly, & not wait until you need it. Would suggest picking up a timer / delay for it also.

I bought one a few years back & tried it first. The tank leaked all over the place. I took it back right away & exchanged it for a new one no problem.

I just picked up this fogger at Walmart today for $20. You really can't go wrong for that price. One of my old foggers died last year, after serving us faithfully for 8 years. The nice thing is the timer for the old machine works with the new one.

Does anyone know where to find a timer for the $20 walmart fogger. Someone mentioned it was made by gemmy.

I've seen them at Target. I believe they were $9.99.
