Hey guys!
Guess I'm back in here... but not in the mood this year for Halloween...![]()
Don't know what it is, but don't feel excited about it.... Thought I'd come lurking in here to try to put me in the mood....
This year is our Vampire-themed year.... Don't have time to build anything new, so we'll go with what we have.... That must be it: no new prop or projects to work on....
I gotta do something about it, there's only 40 days left!!!!!![]()
Have you ever felt that way???

I actually felt a little like that this year and then I just decided to scale back and have the party we always have with the stuff we already have and well people will understand. I wasnt in the mood until I started the secret reaper. That has gotten me in the mood a little more now.
I think as it gets closer you will feel better
Just in case I will send you some of my best feel good purple glitter to sprinkle your way
Linus: You've heard about fury and a woman scorned?
Charlie Brown: Yes, I guess I have.
Linus: Well that is nothing compared to the fury of a woman who has been cheated out of tricks or treats!

Halfway through my project, i kind of lost my fuel...but i am determined to just make this happen! But in moments like this, you just got to keep moving! Keep looking and just hope the old magic will comeback. If not skip this year...maybe you need a break.
The only downfall of Halloween is it only happens once a year.

cheer up!! I understand. I always have such high hopes and expectations..that the amount of stress I put myself under almost ruins it for me! I have tried to learn to relax....and enjoy the Spirit of it all. Is there any props you can change up to make them new??

LLOOLL You guys are the best! Within 5 minutes, you wrote back... Thank you sooooo much

Spooki - Thanks for the purple glitter!
HallowYves - No way I'm gonna skip a year... Kids are counting on us; we're kinda of the only ones in our neighbourhood to do something a bit "out there"; can't let them down.
Michael - I started "aging" a few columns we made 3 years ago (when we started doing more, and more, and more decorations and props - what this forum will make you do!
) because they looked boring.... It's a start I guess!

Cheer Up!!!!!! Vampires are so hot this year there are lots of great props for sale and there are whole websites dedicated to throwing an amazing Vampire themed party. The All About You even has a Vampire party article with easy, and cheap ideas.

This might help....
Get some nice cold milk, whole, skim, 2%, whatever you prefer.
Add plenty of chocolate syrup.
Add red and blue food coloring until it is dark and viscous.
Turn on some gothic intrumental music, grab some paper and start sketching your pumpkins for this year, while sipping your 'blood' and humming to the harpsichord.
If you can't do dairy products or just don't have a sweet tooth, a heavy port or a chianti might work.
Good to see you again. Your avatar always got me a lil,... anxious, know what I mean?

It will turn out good "I know the feeling" of not getting anything new. I bargained with my husband I wanted something unrelated to Halloween but it was pricey I said if I buy this I will not buy anything this year or next year for Halloween. So I am going to just put up the same stuff just in different positions n stuff. Move things around some. Keep smiling and All power to you
