Hey, thanks--you know, it is about 9:30 am here in Los Angeles right now. And it's fairly overcast and gloomy here this morning! Kinda nice for a first autumn day!

Ah well, perhaps somebody has changed something somewhere for the dates! I guess I don't keep up with trends like that. lol
I've always gone with the 21st as the beginning of the season, Sept 21 = Beginning of fall, Dec 21 = beginning of winter, March 21st = beginning of spring and June 21 = Beginning of Summer.
Well, whether it be today or Thursday for you, have a great autumn and Halloween season!
