While reading today's posts, I keep thinking about how lucky I am.

I have a husband who builds and rebuilds props for me, and doesn't mind when "I need just one more thing"

I have a dad who always finds me Halloween treasures at yard sales and thrift stores

I have friends and family who don't understand my Halloween enthusiasm but never stage an intervention

I have a house to decorate and a place to store my props

And I found a forum full of talented and experienced haunters who inspire me everyday. Thank you!

(Hopefully I remember how lucky I am around Halloween.....j/k)

AMEN! I agree with all of those except it's my mom who scavenges for me at yard sales! It's good to remember to be thankful since it's so easy to get cranky with all the work ahead of us. Thanks propmistress!!

I am thankful that I have a husband who not only loves me, but lets me shop for whatever I want, and doesn't question my Halloween obsession. He also doesn't complain when I start talking about Halloween in April.

I'm also grateful that I have friends who will celebrate this holiday with me as a holiday in my faith. Samhain is a day of remembrance for Pagans, and my friends and family take an hour out of their life every year to celebrate this day with me.
Her blood coursed through my veins sweeter than life itself. And as it did, Lestat's words made sense to me. I knew peace only when I killed and when I heard her heart in that terrible rhythm, I knew again what peace could be.

I agree and I have to sincerely thank you for posting this! I am so very grateful for the things I have! A husband who is almost as obsessed with Halloween as me, friends and family who enjoy what I do, a computer and a wonderful website to visit with all of you delightful people all over the world who share my love for the day and a community that does not shun me for my "bizarre" past-time, but instead embraces it and takes joy in it.

I'm so very very blessed and I really appreciate this opportunity to observe that.

My five year old daughter who, through out the year, will say: Daddy, wouldn't this make a scary [fill in the blank] or Daddy, wouldn't it be scary if we did [fill in the blank] Two of the major projects this year are her idea and conception. (scary mermaid and scary ladybug)

To see the world through the eyes of a child........
