I am debating whether or not to purchase one of the animated "rise from the grave" grim reapers, but I would like to get some feedback from my fellow enthusiats on whether or not it is worth $40. This is the one that is about 3 ft. tall and lays on the ground, but is triggered to pop up either by a noise or, in this case, by remote.
I've been burned before, and I would just like to know that it works as well as advertised, before putting money out there.![]()

I'm thinking of buying one too. i saw one at spirit in action. it rises, then bounces back and forth i really didn't like that. Hoping to find one that doesn't do that. The video at spirits website isn't that bad but the one i saw in action was.

I got the cheaper one ($19.99 @ Target and $29.99 @ Halloween City), and he is great. He is not lit, though, so he will need some light. When he pops up, he doesn't "wiggle", and I also weigh him down with heavy stuff in the back so he doesn't tip over. I really like him!

Hey, TOT, do the ones you bought also come with remote control?

No, I don't think they do. I guess only the $40 ones from Spirit come with a remote. But, the ones from Target or Halloween City work with a footpad!

I bought one from Spirit several years ago and it still works pretty good.

I only have a static reaper. It is okay but could be better...

I took your suggestion, TOT and bought the $20 one from Target. I figured paying an extra $20 for a remote control seemed unnecessary. My target actually had one set up, so I got to see it in action, and think it will work just fine. Besides, I already have one of those sound machines with a remote that I can plant by it if necessary. Thanks.

I made the monster mud reaper from the tutorial section. I'm sure you could make your own variation of it if you're not happy with what the stores have
