If you can get the local paper to take some pics of your yard and talk a little about the season, sometimes they will print it along with where you are so people can come see your display.....Each year you do it, more people will come.....Good Luck....ZR

hummerhaunter, I live about an hour north of you. I would love to know more about your haunt. Show us some photos. DOes Plano have an ordinance for things like this? I know that some areas do.

Our local paper has a things to do for the Halloween season. Check to see if yours has the same and maybe they will list you in there.

hummerhaunter(or anyone else), if you have a website for your haunt, there are a few places that list haunts for free. I'm thinking horrorfind.com hauntworld.com and so fourth. But there are other sites that do list "events" and may list your haunt info for free. I do on my site in the calendar section. 50 words or less is free. contact me @ info@shadowsofhorror.com( www.shadowsofhorror.com)

Flyers in local grocery stores and businesses, at the elementary and middle schools, community centers, etc... really help get the news out about your house.

I'm in north dallas not far from you and I too live in a conservative neighborhood. You shouldn't have any trouble with the local folks

For me its just word of mouth and have the display out at least a week before.

You could check with your neighborhood association and see if they would put in a blog in the local news section.
