I sale and coupon shop and will not buy 'cheap' chocolate, but I will not pay over 16 cents an ounce.
Curious to what others do.
By the way Walmart has the large bags of Butterfinger, Crunch, Baby Ruth, 58 ounces for $8.00 = 13.7 cents per ounce. So I started my buying with 2 bags of that.

Man cannot live on bread alone.... (unless he is in a cage and that is all you feed him.)

Costco usually has pretty good prices. We try to do as many full-sized bars as we can reasonably afford... That being said, I just won't pay over $0.50 per full-sizer, as that's what they were in the vending machines when I was a kid.

I do the same as you, only I mix in some less expensive candy like tootsie pops or blow pops to offset the cost a little. I would love to do full size candy bars but we usually get over 400 ToT'ers so there is just no way I can do that.

I DO NOT like cheap chocolate of any kind. Must be the good stuff, but I do have to admit I am mindful about how much I pay. Cant say I pay attention to the cost per ounces. Just simply gotta have them. =}
