When do you first start displaying halloween decorations for the public to see? I want to know what day/month most people start putting out decorations?

Honestly....I usually start getting all my stuff out in September to see what I have and if I need anything more....then usually my decorations are out by Oct. 1st...no joke lol :P

Same thing here october31; I want my goodies out by the 1st of October, therefore I start my antics the weekend before.

And like pmpknqueen, I drag all of my stuff out in late August/early September and take inventory. Something about the first day of school rolling around seriously puts me in the mood for Halloween.

By daylight on the 31st those around me are probably burned out, lol.

Usually the first week of October, otherwise you get all those "Halloween stuff already?" comments...

i put mine out the first weekend in october, i figure if im going to all the work to make everything that it should be up as long as possible.

I have up some of my lights and yes they are on for everyone to see as I type this. I have two dummies I made on my porch. One is sitting down and the other one a rigged to stand up. I will start putting out the rest in the coming week.

Haha I know...i already got that too...I came home from the store the other day having bought 2 halloween candy bowls that were only $2.50 each and I couldn't pass it up...and my dad was like why did you buy those? and i'm like...for halloween dad...come on...and he's like already? haha
