Stopped by our mall for third time in a week and Spirit is still not open. Really frustrating. They're in there setting up, but still tarps on the windows. Every other place in town is open and selling Halloween. Spirit is losing money from the early shoppers. Halloween Express was very busy and they actually havbe a decent selection. Party City and Factory Card Outlet are also in full swing. Our Spirit opened on Labor Day last year so they are realy behind.

Our Spirit is open and I'm probably heading there this weekend.... Some of the Halloween stores seem to be getting a very slow start this year....

The one in our mall has been open for a week or two now. I'm not sure about the other Spirit stores in my area though.

I think most of the stores in minnesota (Twin cities) are open or opening by this weekend. Alot of them still do not have their new big items yet.
They are behind alot of the other Halloween stores. I have seen a few others open at least for a week or two already. I still like a lot of the Spirit props the best even if I have to wait.

Spirit near me hasn't opened yet. I stopped by and all I saw were a ton of boxes sitting on the floor through the window. I've been hitting up the Dollar Store, Party City, and a new store called Halloween World for my Halloween fix :P.

If you've ever worked or owned a Spirit, you may have noticed that things are waaay overpriced. I found that I can make most of what I see in the stores. I love browsing, then going to a thrift store or what not and making the stuff I can.

That's what most people here do, haha. I just enjoy stopping by for inspiration and to fill my Halloween fix.

my Spirit hasn't opened yet... for that matter the ONLY halloween store up and running in Santee, CA (nearest me) is a RIP HALLOWEEN Store. I've never heard of them before, but they are only open until 7pm Sun-Thurs, and til 8pm on Fri-Sat, so I haven't had a chance to get there before they close (they just opened on Saturday and when I got there it was 8:15 and they had JUST closed)...

The Spirit down the street from there is in TOTAL disarray as of 11pm last night when I last drove by (long story, my brother's wife had a baby, so I've been at the Hospital every night this week with her til late). They have 0 aisles set up yet, and only had masks on 1 wall. There were boxes everywhere. I'd be absolutely INSANE with that chaos. Whomever is running that store had opened boxes with stuff strewn everywhere, and no order to anything. I want to stop by and VOLUNTEER to help organize it all... I'm so used to seeing thing orderly. =) Last year they had signs saying when the store would open... (Sept 20th), this year... NOTHING. No idea when it's gonna open, but from the looks of it, I'd say AT LEAST 7-10 days... if not longer.

PS... even the walmart didn't have halloween BOXES yet as of Sunday this week. They were still in FULL BLOWN BACK TO SCHOOL Mode. Disappointing to say the least.
How many days do I have left?

I know there are two locations in my area not open because they don't have the staff to keep them open. At least that's what the manager who interviewed me (then told me thanks but no thanks (jerk)) explained to me.
