I would say mine is less than $100, and I don't even buy costumes anymore.

What's your spending limit on Halloween? –

"Dollar Tree - The High Price to Pay for $1 Prices" China stuff, taking out other stores, around every corner - 136 in 100 miles, poor wages for employees. - I only say this because people say the same stuff about Wal-Mart, but than they go to Dollar Tree.

Spending limit? Sheesh - was I supposed to keep on a budget? I guess I have robbed the piggy bank a time or two... but -- well, as long as the bills get paid in October... I know we spend waaay too much! LOL

Well, this year I'm buying some large props and such, so the sky's the limit. For the past few years before that, I really enjoyed building up my Spooky Town village, and those things can add up quick. So, I'd say I would normally average around $200.

I've done updates and made most of this year's props. So maybe $100 total from several Home Depot trips & the Salvation Army. I still have to buy candy that my hubby will confiscate half of and also get whatever costume the daughter decides on.

Limit? Didn't know I had one. My husband keeps letting me use the credit card so I just figured he'd let me know when the bank called. Most years I average about $400 but I think I have already gone a tad bit over that...by about $100 and I am not done yet. So I would say this year I will probably run around $600. Keeping in mind some of that was for equipment, but I also have to consider that I used a LOT of stuff I bought last year and didn't get around to using. So it may be higher. I had to buy a lot of lumber and pvc this year so it got a bit more expensive. I should be set for next year though...LOL, I say that every year.

Since this is my first year doing a yard display, and I'm going all out, I have spent almost $1,800 and expect to drop at least another $200. Also included in this amount are treats for kids, in addition to candy they are going to get packs of silly bands and finger lights.

Hard to say. I've been doing it for a few years now, so I have decent amount of props, bits & pieces.
I'm really trying to not spend on finished items, focusing on all hand made.
So I guess there's easily 2 - 3 hundred spent on miscellaneous.
Since it's a charity event and something the whole community looks forward to, I have a local grocery chain to supply candy for hand out.Doctor Grim

My display this year is the Seven Deadly Sins, which is all about taking pleasures to excess. Spending limit? That was reached by November 2nd of last year. I've probably more than $2000 just for this year's props. I hope to make back some of that by selling some of my extras, duplicates, and things that won't fit my upcoming themes, but it won't begin to match what I've spent.
For the record, my personal costume cost $7.

Some use credit cards for Christmas .... They were created for Halloween .. really .. umm ...really. It has to be a written law somewhere.
