Thread: Neighborhood HOA Halloween party!

So every year I deck out my yard for Halloween. This year the HOA has me planning a Halloween festival!!! I am so excited.

SO far we have

Costume contests
pin the nose on the pumpkin
dry bobbing for apples
A cauldron candy toss

And then music and a pot luck.

Any other easy ideas or thoughts?

You could have prizes for the food too. I wish my HOA did something fun like this. We moved into our neighborhood 3 months ago & I still don't know who they are.

I love that idea!! It might make more people willing to bring something other than a bag of chips

Our neighborhood is relatively small and I think that helps, though we are not expecting a huge turnout. At least it is something!

How about a pumpkin carving contest, where they bring their already carved pumpkins for judging.

I think it would be funny for the dry bobbing for apples to add like packing peanuts to it or something, paint them pink and they could look like intestines.

Something we used to do is eat a donut off a string contest, no hands

also a "guess what this is" a whole bunch of boxes lined up on a table that you can't see in, you have to reach your hand in and guess what it is, then you have a little card with the answer. Course the answer would be like eye balls when its bouncy balls, and stuff like that. if someone has a lawn mower or a four wheeler, you could do some kind of mini hay ride
