I took my 4 yr old granddaughter Tori to the local Spirit store and also checked out another store that had opened. Tori wandered around in the store, checking things out and activating all the props that they had set up. All the little kids in there would start crying or run from the props and Tori would just stand there amused.

I was talking to one of the workers and Tori came up and said "Papa, none of this is scary to me. Your stuff is better"

The thing that puzzled me is that she walked by a costume that I had worn the first halloween we did when she was only 1 yr old and pointed out that I had worn the costume that year.
We dont need a body bag, we need a bucket.............and a strainer.

Ugh. I'm jealous. My fiance's 5 year old is one of the kids crying and running in the other direction at the Spirit stores. She's getting better, and I'm trying to offer her incentives (candy, desert, toys) for being brave, but she is still is having a hard time. I don't blame her though, that stuff scared me too when i was her age. I wouldn't even go trick or treating at a house that had a cardboard witch in the window.

I used to be scared myself...my Dad is a horror fan though and made us sit through his films...one involving monsters in mirrors kept me away fromthem for months..lol I wouldn't even go into a haunted house..now I run one. Something must have taken hold somewhere.. ;D
